‘Panorama will be competitive and exciting’
Pan is far from dead! Thatâs the word from Youlou Pan Movement leader Warren Knights, as he spoke on behalf of the pan component of the Carnival Development Corporation at Tuesdayâs press conference.
Knights indicated that even though two of the more popular pan sides are not in this yearâs Dimanche Gras competition, the event still promises to be as competitive and exciting as ever.{{more}}
He indicated that the future of pan is in great hands, alluding to the ten groups that will be competing in the junior panorama slated for Thursday July 5th.
While Knights called on more of the corporate society to support the young pan players, two of the regular sponsors stepped up to show their support for the young artistes.
The SVG Port Authority and East Caribbean Group of Companies, while handing over their cheques to the corporation confirmed their continued support for the art form.
Also presenting cheques to the CDC on Tuesday were RBTT, The National Insurance Services and Coreas Hazells Inc.
