Police officer found dead
Speculation is rife over the death of a police constable, who was found with a head wound in a wooded area close to the base of the Special Services Unit (SSU) at Old Montrose.
Scott is said to have been found with a gun-shot wound to the head, and his service pistol beside his body. Last Wednesday July 22, 2026, at approximately 11:00 a.m., Scott (Police Constable #1116) reportedly checked in for duty at the SSU base.
Colleagues later found the constable dead with what is thought to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Someone took a photograph of the dead man and shared it on social media. The photo went viral and many people started commenting on several aspects of the crime scene.
Shortly after the incident, the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) confirmed Scott’s death, noting, “The circumstances surrounding Constable Scott’s death are currently under investigation. Further information will be provided once the relevant facts have been verified and the necessary investigative procedures have been completed.
“The Commissioner of Police, the High Command, and the rank and file of the RSVGPF extend sincere condolences to Constable Scott’s family, friends, and colleagues during this deeply difficult time.
