Barrouallie striker in top form in Secondary Schools’ Football

National Under 14 player, Jshan Samuel, is proving a handful for defenders as he has already scored seven goals in two matches in the Junior Division of the 2024 Secondary Schools’ Football Competition.

After hitting a hat trick for Barrouallie in his team’s 6-1 win over Campden Park Secondary (Bethel High), Samuel scored four goals last Friday, October 11,2024 against the Dr. J.P Eustace Memorial Secondary at the Campden Park Playing Field.

Jahlanson Charles and Reggie Barbour scored the other goals, as Barrouallie ran out 6-0 winners.

Samuel is the offspring of Shandell Samuel, a former prolific national striker and current assistant coach of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Senior Men’s team.

Also in the Junior Division last Friday, there were wins for Troumaca Ontario, West St George Secondary, and Bethel High. At Layou, Troumaca Ontario defeated Buccament Bay 4-1, with Aaden Charles hitting a brace, and there was one each from Deamar Michael and Jevondre Victory. Buccament’s goal was scored by

Alroy John. West St George registered a 4-0 win over Emmanuel High, Mesopotamia, at the Brighton Playing Field. Kalan Williams scored two goals, with Raphael Durrant and Javaski Bramble adding the others.

And, Maliki Hepburn sank four, while there were single strikes from Aaron Williams, Caden Small, Jamario Gibson and Kamron Ballantyne, as Bethel High routed Petit Bordel, 8-0, at the Golden Grove venue in Fitz Hughes.

In the Senior Division, Maldini Simmons scored the lone goal as Troumaca Ontario defeated Buccament Bay, one-nil. Likewise, West St George did the double on Emmanuel High Mesopotamia.

Scoring for West St George were David Butler, Tyler Lewis, Elricko Webb, Donte Enville and Zafi

Davis. Goals for Emmanuel High School Mesopotamia came from Calron Yorke and Josh Francois, in the 5-2 scoreline.

Also in the Senior Division, Barrouallie outscored Dr J.P Eustace, 5-1. Masranny Harry scored three goals, and one each from Batrack Barbour and Shane Miller, accounted for Barrouallie’s tally. Shane Bynoe was the lone responder for the Dr J.P Eustace Memorial. Petit Bordel, reversed the fortunes on Bethel High, trumping 3-0. Deshod Simmons had two goals, and Terrence Williams the other.

In the other fixture at Arnos Vale Two, Intermediate High, led by Jomoni Douglas’ hat trick, a double from Jomayne Williams and one each from Mario Taylor and Omarion Lytlle, got the better of Thomas Saunders Secondary, 7-1. Romano Hector scored the lone goal for the losing team.

Meanwhile, Sandy Bay won both their matches against North Union by default. The matches were set

for the Chili Playing Field in Georgetown. The competition continues today, Tuesday, October 15.
