Digicel expands Full-Fibre Network

Telecommunications company Digicel, has announced a major expansion of its end-to-end fiber network across St. Vincent that will put its services within reach of more than 11,000 additional homes.

In a release dated August 24, 2026, the company said once complete, the rollout will expand Digicel’s fibre to footprint to 84% of homes across the island.

Work on the EC$ 5.1 million phased rollout which began in September, 2025, and is targetted for completion by October, will expand the company’s fibre coverage.

The company said in its release that more families and businesses will be able to access high-speed home internet, IPTV, and bundled services over its end-to-end fiber network, adding that,”The increased capacity will support a host of functions, from online learning and remote work to digital services, entertainment, and day-to-day business operations”.

“Reliable, high-speed connectivity is critical to the growth in St. Vincent,” said CEO of Digicel St. Vincent, Joel Wallace is quoted as stating.

“By bringing fiber services within reach of more than 11,000 additional homes, we are showing our commitment to the community and helping more families and businesses access the reliable digital infrastructure they need to learn, work, and connect.”

Digicel said the rollout includes Saint George, Saint Patrick, Saint Andrew, and Mesopotamia, including Keartons, Wallilabou, Barrouallie, Layou, Richland Park, Stubbs, Buccament, Vermont, Dauphine, and Enhams. Service will be activated in phases so customers can access Digicel’s fibre services as construction in each area is completed.
