“The Department of Culture is once again very grateful to our corporate sponsor Cable & Wireless for their generosity and commitment to the development of our young talent. We are very pleased to be associated with Cable & Wireless in producing the annual schools drama festival for the third year. I know that the sponsorship will go a long way in helping to reduce the cost of the festival. Thanks to the management and staff of Cable & Wireless. They heard us when we called,” said Martin Quashie, Drama Development Officer in the Ministry of Culture.
It’s the third year that Cable & Wireless will be sponsoring the festival and its CEO Daryl Jackson said that “the future of St Vincent and the Grenadines lies within its young people. Drama is a powerful instrument that our students can use to express themselves in a constructive and meaningful way and we as a community focused organization have an obligation to help in the continued development of this art form.”
