Solemn turn out for official viewing of Allan Cruickshank’s body in Parliament

State officials, former colleagues, as well as members of the public, turned out yesterday, April 3, 2025 for the official viewing of the body of the late Chieftan Allan Cruickshank as it lay in the House of Parliament, Glen from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Among viewers were Governor General, Dame Susan Dougan; Speaker of the House of Assembly, Rochelle Forde; Prime Minister, Dr Ralph Gonsavles; Opposition Leader, Dr Godwin Friday; current and former Parliamentarians; members of the Diplomatic Corps, as well as family and friends of Cruickshank.

The body of the late former Member of Parliament who served from 1984-2001 as representative for South Central Windward within the New Democratic Party (NDP) administration, was then escorted by members of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force to the Party’s Headquarters on Murray’s Road where party members and supporters paid tribute to their late, former General Secretary.
