Old Sandy Bay residents allege encounters with five ‘strange figures’
Residents of Old Sandy Bay are calling for prayers, as villagers are claiming to be having strange encounters.
The encounters related to SEARCHLIGHT all point to five men, who are reportedly roaming the village, appearing and disappearing at times.
“The five of them are always together, sometimes we see them walking up the hill in Old Sandy Bay and sometimes, they appear to people in their homes,” a resident related.
Another concerned resident said the five men recently visited her home around 11:00 p.m and “They were saying that they want to go home.”
She said she recognized the men as persons who are no longer among the living.
Other persons in the area have reported similar experiences at nights, but persons have also reportedly seen five men walking together in broad daylight.
“It happens any day, but usually around 3:00 p.m. One minute you will be seeing them walking together, and the next thing, they will just disappear.”
Some persons in the area have taken to social media, appealing for religious leaders to visit Old Sandy Bay and conduct prayers.
Many residents are appealing for help and prayers from the Spiritual Baptist faith; while others are saying to have a Pentecostal leader do the prayers.
“This is true. They need to go home, and yes, all of them walking together roaming the village,” another concerned resident commented on social media.
Residents claim that the matter is serious and not one to simply laugh about.
They claim that they have been seeing these apparitions since late last year.
Five men from the village of Clare Valley died tragically in that accident.
The men had left Clare Valley that fateful Sunday, and were heading to Owia for a funeral, when the fatal accident took place.
The accident victims: Giovanni Barker, Ishmael Bruce, Elvis Harold, Khalil Roban and Kenroy Haywood, were among other mourners in the passenger van which was heading to Owia for the funeral for Rohan ‘Charla’ Rawlins.
Rawlins, who was originally from Greiggs, but lived at Owia died on August 15, 2022.
He was shot and killed in the Lowmans Bay area, in the New Rose Place community.
He was reportedly sitting in the porch at one of the new houses when he was fatally shot.
