The executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Olympic Committee (SVGOC) has moved to strengthen its administrative capacity by the appointment of commissions and their respective chairs.

Spanning several aspects of the operations of the SVGOC, the commissions include – Athletes Commission, Gender Equity Commission, Sports for All Commission, Communication Commission and the National Olympic Academy.

Chairing the Athletes Commission is St Vincent and the Grenadines’ most decorated female athlete – Kineke Alexander- Stay, with the Gender Equity Commission chaired by Geshell Peters.

Meanwhile, the Sports for All Commission and that of Communication, have Laprise Williams and Kevin Hannaway respectively as chairs and the National Olympic Academy is chaired by Keith Joseph.

The next phase for the commissions will be the appointment of personnel to fill the various positions. This will be done through nominations from the affiliate members of the SVGOC.

The Stephen Joachim- led executive was installed November 12, last year and will serve for four years.
