Curtains come down on VincyMas 2026
J’Ouvert Fanatics monopolised the competition by securing a staggering seven first-place finishes in the 2026 J’ouvert results on the morning of Monday, July 6, 2026.
The official countdown of the VincyMas festival which ran from June 26, culminating on July 7, 2026 has seen various bands, vocalists, and cultural participants compete across distinct categories showcasing Vincentian creativity under the theme ‘The Great Escape’.
Following the 12-day events, the Carnival Development Corporation (CDC) released the official results of the top three performers in each category on July 8, 2026.
The results revealed J’Ouvert Fanatics achieving a clean sweep across seven categories, namely: Traditional Bands portraying X-Plane this for we; Groups presenting ‘We ban beer-bat-mas’; and Couples of J’Ouvert showcasing ‘M-Press search for a good man’.
In fact, not only did J’Ouvert Fanatics also placed first in the King of J’Ouvert, Queen of J’Ouvert and Individuals of J’Ouvert categories. The band secured every top three spot across all three of these categories. Their respective presentations in the King of J’Ouvert Category are: Mr. Clean, Vincy 4 sale, and 4 kings for Madsart.
As for the Queen of J’Ouvert Category, ‘Security Compromises’ landed the band in first place; while ‘D-Visual all impaired’ had to settle for second; and ‘CDC Great X-cape’ captured the third spot. However, ‘Lift me Higher’ from the Individuals of J’Ouvert category was J’Ouvert Fanatics’ most outstanding performance boasting 239 points and topping the category; while ‘Watch ah whopper’; and ‘All play-in d trump card’ placed second and third respectively.
Tuesday Mas bands like St. Vincent Distillers Ltd. Blondie Bird & Friends and Nelson Bloc also claimed multiple titles in this year’s festivities. Alazne Niles was crowned Junior Queen of Carnival representing Blondie Bird and Friends with her presentation of ‘Celestial Paradise’.
