Police investigating shooting death of 47-year-old at Queen’s Drive

Police are investigating a shooting incident that has resulted in the death of  Michael Richards, a 47-year-old businessman of Ottley Hall, which occurred shortly before 10:00 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Queen’s Drive.

A report from the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) said “Preliminary information revealed that Richards was standing in the doorway of his Liquor and Provision Shop in Queen’s Drive when two men wearing hoodies ran up to him and shot him several times about his body.

“Upon arrival on the scene, the police met Richards’s motionless body lying on the ground. The District Medical Officer visited the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.”

A postmortem examination is expected to be carried out on the body to ascertain the exact cause of death.
