Deron Franklyn arraigned on charge of murder of Alwin Franklyn

Deron Franklyn, a Dickson Village resident, appeared in court on Tuesday, December 13 for arraignment in connection with a charge of murder.

Franklyn was therefore not allowed to plea to the indictable charge of the murder of his fellow villager in 2021.

He appeared in the Kingstown Magistrate Court before Senior Magistrate, Rickie Burnett charged that on July 28, 2021 at Dickson Village, Georgetown with malice aforethought he caused the death of Alwin Franklyn of Georgetown.

Deron Franklyn was remanded into custody and his matter was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court for December 19, before Chief Magistrate, Rechanne Browne.
