Chauffeur of Canouan pleads guilty to possessing cocaine

ZIMROY EDWARDS, A 22-year-old chauffeur of Canouan, pleaded guilty on a charge of cocaine possession when he appeared in court on Monday, September 21, 2026.

In a release, the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), said Edwards was arrested on September 20, 2026 and charged with possession of a controlled drug with intent to supply it to another.

The young man is said to have had in his possession 6.3 grammes of cocaine at Grand Bay, Canouan, on September 19, 2026.When Edwards appeared in the Serious Offences Court on September 21, he pleaded guilty to the charge. He was fined EC$385.00, $200 of which was to be paid forthwith and the remainder by September 22, 2026. In default, Edwards will spend three months at His Majesty’s Prison.
