Tribute to Ercelle John Thomas

Ercelle Thomas, née John, was an invaluable member of the Board of Directors of Special Olympics St Vincent and the Grenadines (SOSVG).

At the Board level, she made significant contributions to the planning and execution of the sports events and fundraising activities. She was highly respected by her colleagues and was also noted for her remarkable sense of humour, which invariably provided welcome relief amid challenges and difficult times.

Her commitment to the mission and ideals of the Special Olympics Movement was unquestionable.

In her interaction with the special athletes, she demonstrated genuine affection and understanding and her words of encouragement were instrumental in motivating and inspiring them.

Ercelle will be greatly missed by the Special Olympics community.

The Board of Directors extends sincerest condolences to her husband Matthew Thomas and the John family.

May she rest in peace.
