Ty Clarke scores in his first CPL start

VINCENTIANTY CLARKE scored his first professional goal in his second game for Inter Toronto FC last Saturday, September 5, 2026, against Forge FC in the Canadian Premier League (CPL) The 18- year- old Clarke, who grew up in Paul’s Avenue in Kingstown, St Vincent and the Grenadines, made good on his first professional opportunity as several usual starters were injured.

Taking the start with both hands, Clarke used his right foot to score in the 12th minute, pouncing on a long pass from Oswaldo León.

A quick touch around Forge defender Daniel Krutzen, he finished past Forge’s goalkeeper Dimitry Bertaud.

Clarke described the moment as “surreal” as scoring in his first pro start meant a lot to him.

However, Forge equalized in the 70th minute through Hoce Massunda, as the match ended in a 1-1 tie Clarke signed a multiyear CPL contract in August 2026, guaranteeing him through the 2028 season.

Before his rise to a professional contract, Clarke, a former student of the CW Prescod Primary School and the St Vincent Grammar School, played for System Three in local Football age group competitions.

Clake has also played for the St Vincent and the Grenadines Under-17 and Under-20 teams, and earlier this year, earned his first senior cap in a Concacaf competition.
