North Windward takes Zonal Under-15 cricket title

The North Windward Under-15 male team defeated the North Central Windward Under-15 team by 5 wickets in the finals of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines 2026 Zonal Under-15 Cricket Tournament to take the zonal title on Tuesday September 1, 2026 at the London Playing Field.

Due to the late arrival of the North Central Windward team, the umpires reduced the number of overs per inning to 34, with a noon start to the game.

Having won the toss, the North Windward Under-15 male team invited the North Central Windward Under-15 team to take first knock. They were all out for 72 in 20.3 overs, with Stevan Glasgow top-scoring with 11;Yuvraj Campbell 10 not out; and Trezrol Adams chipping in with 7 at the bottom of the inning.

Bowling for North Windward, Jemel Baptiste was the chief destroyer taking 3 for 8 in 4.3 overs. Tarique Pollard and Amar Lavia took 2 for 8 and 2 for 14 respectively, while Danroy Nanton had 1 for 6.

North Windward knocked off the required target making 73 for the loss of 5 wickets in 12.3 overs. Tarique Pollard top-scored with 17, Amar Lavia made 13, and Amalie Lavia Amalie Lavia.

Bowling for North Central Windward, Niquan Johnson took 2 for 4; Liam Baptiste 2 for 14; andYuvraj Campbell 1 for 20 with extras contributing 28. In the prize-giving ceremony which followed, the award for the most runs went to Amar Lavia-125 runs most wickets; Jemel Baptiste with 9 wickets; Amarlie Lavia received the award for being the best wicket keeper; Amar Lavia with his 125 runs and 5 wickets was adjudged the MVP.
