Two Vincentians gain Level One Volleyball coaching certification
Fresh on the heels of the certification of Nikita Campbell- Cumberbatch and Rasheed Huggins as National Referees, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Volleyball Association (SVGVA), has added two level one coaches to its stock.
The new entrants to the field of coaching, Tayon Burgin and Anika Robinson, gained their FIVB Coaches Level One certification in Tortola, the British Virgin Islands.
Burgin and Robinson were part of the five -day course, August 17 to 21,which involved participation from ten other Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association members.
The course conducted by Rick Brevis was held by the British Virgin Islands National Olympic Committee, the British Virgin Islands Volleyball Federation and sponsored by Olympic Solidarity.
Participants were engaged in a blend of theoretical classroom sessions, practical sessions and quizzes.
After the very intense sessions, all participants were successful, thus strengthening the coaching expertise in the ECVA region.
