Zavin Garrick takes CASA Under-11 title
Zavin Garrick continued the Vincentian tradition of winning the Boys Under-11 singles title at the Junior Caribbean Area Squash Association(CASA)) level.
Garrick beat all comers at the Tortola Sports Club on July 10 and July 11, 2026, to end unbeaten.
Winning all his matches by 3-0 margins, defeated Alexander La Roda Thomas of the Cayman Islands, 11-3, 11-6, 11-4, before getting past Javed Ishmael of Trinidad and Tobago 11-1, 11-4, 11-0, and had a comfortable 11-5, 11-1, 11-3 win over Trinidad and Tobago’s Evan Ghuran in the final.
He and Jayden George in the Boys Under-17, earned gold medals.
Garrick thus joined George and Savante Padmore, previous winners from St Vincent and the Grenadines.
Meanwhile, Jaydon Williams finished third in the Boys Under-19 division.
Seeded number two going into the tournament, Williams had an 11-8, 11-7, 11-8 win over William Frith of Bermuda.
Williams however was beaten by another Bermudan, Eli Caprol 11-7, 9-11, 11-6, 13-11.
In the play-off for the third place, Williams overcame Shiloh Asregado of Guyana, 4-11, 11-8, 11-9, 11-6.
St Vincent and the Grenadines was also represented by former Under-11 champion Savante Padmore, who won the Under-13 plate, while Aiden De Freitas was fifth in the Under-17.
Ethan Webster also played in the Boys Under-15, whilst Caeli George competed in the Girls Under-15 age group; Naira Skye John, the Under-17 and Ciara George, the Girls Under-19.
