Thirteen selected for OECS Championships
Team Athletics SVG has named a 13- member team, to represent St Vincent and the Grenadines at the 2026 Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) Championships.
The team, which comprises eight males and five females are set to compete for honours at the championships carded for July 4 and 5, at the Kim Collins Stadium, St Kitts and Nevis.
The male selectees are Handal Roban( 800 meters, 4x 400-m mixed relay); Mc Kish Compton (100-m, 4 x 100-m); Kyle Lawrence(100-m , 4×100-m relay); Keo Davis(200-m, 4×100-m relay ); AJ Delpesche( 200-m, mixed 4×400-m relay), J’mar Saunders (4×100-m relay); J’avair Cato( long jump, triple jump); and Romaul James( long jump, triple jump).
The five females making the trip are Teia Laborde( 100-m, 200-m; Reine Browne (400-m hurdles); Kesiann John, (800-m, mixed 4×400-m relay); Zekisha Kelly( mixed 4×400-m relay); and Brinesha Derrick-Bain(100-m hurdles).
The championships return after being absent from the sub- regional Track and Field calendar since 2017.
Started in 1986, the OECS championships have seen stops and restarts for the almost four decades since Grenada hosted the inaugural event.
