Mitres retains Division One national netball title
DHL MITRES RETAINED their Division One title when the league category of the 2026 Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines-sponsored St. Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association’s Netball club tournament concluded on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at the Kingstown Netball Centre. Mitres won three of the four matches played with 1 loss amassing 6-points to top the table. They scored 2024 goals and had 147 scored against them- a difference of 57.
Oscar Machine Center Maple was second with 5-points, played 4 matches, drew 1, lost 1, scored 233 goals, had 178 scored against them, with a difference of 55. Third in the table was National Properties Netters also with 5 points having played 4 matches, won 2, lost 1, drew 1, scored 196 goals, had 177 scored against them with a difference of 19.The other two teams in the Division One were Sion Hill Netball Team (1), and Inter Island Trading Mitres who finished fourth and fifth, respectively. X-Ceed Sports Club pulled out of the tournament for undisclosed reasons.
Bagga United amassed 9 points having won four of the six matches played, with one draw and one defeat in winning the Division Two title. The ladies from Barrouallie scored 275 goals against their opponents, had 230 goals scored against them, a difference of 45. Prime Consulting 3 J’s Valley Strikers with seven points placed second. They played sic games, won three, drew one, and lost two, scored 243 goals, had 222 scored against them; a difference of 21. On Trac X-Ceed (2) took the third spot with five points, having won two of the six matches played, with three losses and one draw.They scored 206 goals, had 229 goals scored against them; a negative difference of 23. The other club in Division Two was Nature Care Netters (2) who finished fourth.
X-Ceed Sports Team (3) played unbeaten to take the Division Three title, amassing a total of 10 points, scored 144 goals against their opponents, and had 90 scored against them. Sion Hill Netball Club (2) was second with six points, having won three of the five matches played, losing two. They scored 136 goals, and had 106 scored against them. In third place was Dutch Lady Clinchers also on six points.They won three of the five matches played, losing two, scored 123 goals and had 106 goals scored against them.
Fun Size Success Netters, RSVG Police Force Elite Netball Team, and SVG General Services Maple were the other clubs in Division Three, finishing
fourth, fifth, and sixth respectively. Playing unbeaten in the Vita MaltYouth Development Valley Bakers North Leeward Stars.They amassed 20 points, scored 389 goals and had 90 scored against them.
Second is S & D Success Netters with 18 points placed second, and Bargain Auto PYC Rising Stars (1) on 14 points came in third.
The other clubs competing in that division were Country Meet Town Maple, BSS Warriors,Total Ten Technologies Netters (3), Sion Hill Netball Team (3), Chachara Stars, Bishop’s College Kingstown, X-Ceed Sports Club (4), and Police Welfare Assn PYC Rising Stars (2).
In the male division, Maca Crushers totalled eight points took the male division title winning all four of their games.
Second was A M Shottas on four points and in third position was H & H Oral Advent Ballerz who lost all four of their matches.
