Roderick John hits 147 in TBPO Softball Cricket

Roderick John lashed the Fairbaine United Old Prank bowlers to all parts of the Dauphine Playing Field on Sunday June 7, in the 2026 National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition.

John blazed 147, helping All Stars to rack up 337 for 5 in 20 overs. Kody Horne 51, Asquith Mapp 41, and Ron Adams 22 not out, added to the total.

Damian James 2 for 57, was Fairbaine United Old Prank’s most successful bowler, but his team’s batters crashed to 53 all out in 13 overs, as Courtney Mac Dowald 3 for 12, Desmond Bramble 2 for 5, did the damage with the ball.

Also on Sunday, AIA Reload saw off Older Boys by 44 runs. Older Boys made 82 for 7 in 20 overs. Bowling for AIA Reload, Jerando Jardine had 2 for 6, and Romano Peters 2 for 12.

AIA Reload replied with 84 for 6 in 8.2 overs; Raffique Sayers made 33 not out.

Terrance Baptiste 3 for 31, and Raymond Sayers 2 for 29, bowled in a losing effort for Older Boys.

Sunday’s other fixture saw RS Productions Kombat Warriors winning by default from Vinlec Power Stars.

Meanwhile, play was possible in one of the scheduled matches on Saturday, June 6, when Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble overcame Greiggs All Stars by 63 runs.

Out Ah Trouble posted 187 for 4 in 20 overs; Travis Cumberbatch and Richie Richards 57 each, and Deron Strough 37, being the principal scorers.

Greiggs All Stars responded with 124 all out in 20 overs, Zevon Walker hitting 32.

Bowling for Out Ah Trouble Sunil James took 3 for 30, Kenron Williams 2 for 6 and Richie Richards 2 for 29.

The match that should have featured Sion Hill Tallawahs and Fairbaine United was rescheduled because of a wet pitch.
