Layou pummels Avenues in VSPL
Layou recorded the largest scoreline in the 2026 Vincy Soccer Premier League (VSPL)when they pummelled Avenues United 12-1 last Sunday, May 31, at the Brighton Technical Centre.
A five -goal blitz from Koby Mingot, and one each from Joeash Nash, Kenvie Polius, Devonta Sam,Jomarie Lynch, Rasheed Wallace, Cheslon Hendrickson and Kennija Joseph accounted for Layou’s big win .
Xavier Jack got the consolation goal for Avenues United, who have already been relegated to Tier Two for the next national football season.
In other results on Sunday, Hope International defeated BESCO – Pastures 2-1; the same scoreline as the defeat by North Leeward Predators of front runners System Three for a second time in the campaign.
Hope International’s goals were netted by Jahseem James and Valdo Anderson; and for BESCO- Pastures, Hosni Chandler.
Meanwhile, Kurtlan Williams and Benniton Stapleton were on mark for Predators, while Shemron Phillips scored for System Three.
Two matches played on Friday, May 29, 2026 constituted the sixteenth round of matches in the VSPL, and resulted in wins for Je Belle and Camdonia- Chelsea.
Je Belle sank Awesome 5-0, with Jahva Audain scoring a hat-trick,adding to single strikes from Delano Benjamin and Najima Burgin.
And, Camdonia- Chelsea, on the back of goals from Khayle Nero and Okeedo Cottle helped defeated Bequia United 2-1. Mark Browne was on target for Bequia United.
Following this round, System Three remains top on 38 points, with Layou second on 33 points.
Next is Je Belle with 31; North Leeward Predators 27; Awesome 21; Camdonia- Chelsae 20; BESCO- Pastures 19; Hope International 17; Bequia United 13; and Avenues United 3.
