Division of Sports and Physical Activities launches ‘Association Collaboration Month’
The Division of Sports & Physical Activities has designated the month of June, 2026, as “Association Collaboration Month”.
Essentially, the division has set out to engage national sporting associations, federations and unions in discussions geared towards increased collaborative efforts, as well as foster all possible partnerships on school competitions.
The Division said in a release that they are open suggestions about development, programmes, bilateral support structures, as well as technical assistances and advice.
The release from the Media team of the Division further said, “The initiative seeks engagement with the various sports governing bodies to create the best possible opportunities, for the various student athletes who are expected to participate this upcoming academic year”.
The first of these meetings was held on May 28, 2026, involving the SVG Olympic Committee’s president Stephen Joachim, and its general secretary Keith Joseph.
Other proposed meetings planned for the month, include the SVG Football Federation, the SVG Squash Association, the SVG Cricket Association Inc, the SVG Archery Association and the SVG Netball Association.
