Blue Marlins net 40 medals at Barbados Swim Championships

Blue Marlins Swim Club garnered 40 medals at the 2026 Sonia O’ Neal Memorial Swim Meet in Barbados held from May 21-24.

However, the stand outs were Jayce Thomas and Belle Adams who finished third overall in the Boys 8 and Under, and Girls 13-14 categories, respectively.

Thomas in the process, broke national records in the 50 meters Breaststroke, the 50-m Butterfly, and the 50-m Backstroke.

Thomas’ record-breaking swims left siblings Hazen and Zane Da Briel’s marks to be archived.

Apart from Thomas and Adams, Blue Marlins was represented by Raya Adams and Rui Gordon, in the 8 and Under, while Sage Jobe and Xyon Sealey- Nicholls competed in the Girls 9-10.

Zoey May and Skylar Byron were in the Girls 11-12 category, and the duo of Taj Henry and Saj Caesar in the Boys 11-12.

Blue Marlins finished tenth overall in the championships.
