RSVG Police wins fourth straight Masters Cricket title
RSVG POLICE MADE it four in a row, when their claimed the 2025 SVG Masters 20/20 Cricket Competition, last Sunday, December 7, at the Sion Hill Playing Field.
A nine wicket win over Mustique Company Masters crowned off another successful campaign for the multiple winners of the annual competition.
Mustique Company Masters got to 134 for 6 from their allotment of 20 overs. Their lead batters were Julian Lampkin- 53 not out , and Ceron Padmore- 44. Bowling for Police, Hyron Shallow picked off 4 for 13.
In reply, Police made 135 for 1 from 16.1 overs, with Salvan Browne making 51 not out ,and Hyron Shallow, 46.
The two got the right to play for the title with wins in the semi-finals, the previous day. Police overcame North East by seven wickets at the Sion Hill venue.
North East, on the back of Renrick Williams’ 36 not out,Vasco Sampson, 36 and Lindon James’ 28, posted 157 for 4 from their 20 overs.
In reply, Police got to 160 for 3 from 15.5 overs; Hyron Shallow,78 and Salvan Browne, 64 not out.
Meanwhile, Mustique Company Masters registered a 27 run triumph over Stubbs at the Stubbs Playing Field.
Led by an even 100 not out from Oneil Thomas, and 28 from Shem Browne, Mustique Company Master’s posted 195 for 5 from their 20 overs.
Norlan Williams was the pick of Stubbs’ bowling, taking 2 for 46.
Stubbs’ response stopped at 175 for 5 from their maximum 20 overs. Newborne Joseph struck 80 not, out and Raffique Williams contributed 20, while Oneil Thomas took 2 for 14 and Drumo Toney scalped 2 for 16.
