Bar raised at Fuzion Tennis Academy Invitational Tournament
New talents were unearthed, and others consolidated, when members of the Fuzion Tennis Academy pitted their skills against members of the Rebel Tennis Club of Guyana, in three days of competition October 3- 5, 2025, at the National Tennis Centre, Villa.
The occasion was the tenth hosting of the academy’s Invitational/ Development Tournament.
At the end of it all, several champions were crowned, ranging from Under-6 to Under-14.
Ron Shallow claimed the Boys Under-6, with the Boys Under-7 title pouched by Enoch Peters.
Winning the Girls Under-8 was Briel Paul, and copping the Boys Under-8 was Khristian Puga.
Liza Singh of the Rebels Tennis Club won the Under-10 Girls Novice title, and the Under-10 Boys Novice went to Rahul Narayan, also of the Guyana club.
Taking the Girls Under-10 was Khalia Luke, and the Boys Under-10 was won by Zion Byfield Grant.
Rebels’ Israbella Grannun took the Girls Under-12 title, with Esron Quashie champing the Boys Under-12.
Meanwhile, Danielle Kennedy bossed the Girls Under-14 title, and Ethan Kent won the Boys Under-14.
Two consolation winners also emerged Zonette Jack in the Girls Under-12 age group, and Virat Peters, in the Boys Under-14.
Forty-six players, including 15 from Guyana, competed for honours.
