Laynes wins edition 4 of Business Houses Small Goal Football Competition

Jamal Bishop scored the vital goal that gave E.D Laynes Limited the 2025 Comsports Business Houses Seven – A – Side Small Goal Football title last Sunday, May 4, at the Comsports Facility, Arnos Vale.

A former St Vincent and the Grenadines age group player, Bishop’s goal thus relegated ACADO Stag Strikers to the runner- up spot.

Inevitably, Bishop was named player of the final, collecting $150 in the process.

Meanwhile, the newly minted champions, Laynes Limited, who also topped Group A of the preliminaries, pocketed $1,500 and ACADO Stag Strikers, $800.

Last year’s winners,AIA Combined, had to settle for the third place and $400.

Scoring the most goals were J’ Shan Bibby of AIA Combined, and Kyle Quashie of CK Greaves Sunrise, who both scored five goals apiece.

Quashie helped his team top Group B, after their five matches. St Vincent Brewery Ltd, was adjudged the most disciplined team.

Twelve teams competed for honours in the competition. The others were: RSVG Police, Massy Stores, Health, Vinlec, CK Greaves Strikers, and Customs.

CWSA won the inaugural competition in 2022, while RSVG Police champed the 2023 edition.
