Hope International and South Leeward in Over-40s Football Final Sunday

On Trac Hope International, and South Leeward Unified will contest the final of the Pros Tools Rental & Services, FC Sweaters Over- 40s Masters Football tournament set for Sunday, April 13, 2025 at the Calliaqua Playing Field, from 5:00 p.m.

South Leeward Unified

The two reached the final following last Sunday’s semi- finals.

Hope International saw off Largo Heights 5-3 on penalties after both had played to a 0-0 draw in regulation time.

South Leeward Unified had a 4-3 win, also on penalties, versus General

Hardware Richmond Hill after the two were locked nil-nil at the end of regulation time.

Also last Sunday, the finalists of the plate segment of the competition were decided. Layou blanked Guardian General Barrouallie, 3-nil, all goals being scored by Shandel Samuel.

In the other semis, Vintage Gold defeated Sion Hill, 2-1. Davon Cato and Ken Burgin scored for Vintage Gold; and for Sion Hill, the response came from Randy Patrick.

Vintage Gold and Layou meet from 3:00 p.m in the Plate Final, with Richmond Hill and Largo Height meeting in the third place play off.

The closing ceremony and presentation of prizes and awards is set to start at 7:00 p.m.
