North Union are 2025 Secondary Schools’ Under-15 cricket Champs

The North Union Secondary School (NUSS) handed the George Stephens Senior Secondary a 60-run defeat to win the 2025 St. Vincent and the Grenadines Secondary Schools’ Under-15 Cricket Tournament at the Park Hill Playing Field last Sunday, March 30, 2025.

Having won the toss, the George Stephens Senior Secondary School decided to field, and restricted the North Union Secondary School to 104 all out in 21 overs. Top scoring for NUSS were Eddon Baptiste, 46, and Jonte Gerard who made 20.

Bowling for the George Stephens Senior Secondary, Ahmaud Williams led the attack with 5 for 20; supported by Gasley Hensen 3 for 20; and Kesean Hoyte 1 for 11.

Delroy Tittle took the attack to the George Stephens Senior Secondary School who tried to mount a comeback with the score at 33 for 3.

Bowling a good length on a surface tailor-made for batting Tittle tore through the batting, finishing with figures of 6 for 12, as North Union Secondary were skittled out for 46 in 10.1 overs. Jonte Gerard chipped in with 2 for 1; and Julian Stoddard had 1 for 14.

Top-scoring was Gasley Hensen with 12, and Ahmaud Williams made 11, as the scorecard registered the disappointing batting display.

At the post-match presentation ceremony, Eddon Baptiste received the award for the Most Runs-110; while the award for Most Wickets was shared between Delroy Tittle and Ahmaud Williams, each having taken 12 wickets in the tournament. Having bowled his team to the tournament title, Tittle was judged to be the MVP of the finals.
