Schools’ Relay Fest and Invitational tomorrow at Diamond

Excitement in the 2025 Team Athletics SVG’s calendar will go up by decibels tomorrow, Saturday, January 25, 2025 with the staging of Team Athletics SVG’s Schools’ Relay Fest and Invitational.

Things will get loud from 1:00 p.m, at the Diamond Track Facility, when schools as well as clubs will battle for supremacy in one of the most anticipated track and field events hosted in the country.

A packed programme is down for the afternoon as the six age groups go toe to toe in competition.

The Under-11s will compete in the 4 x 80 shuttle, 4 x 100, and 4 x 150; with the Under-13s doing the 4 x 100, 4 x 200 and the Swedish medley.

The Under-15s, Under-17s, Under-20s, and Open categories will be involved in the 4 x 100, 4 x 400, Swedish Medley, and 1600m Medley.

The Swedish Medley involves the 100, 200, 300 and 400m, while the 1600 Medley will see the first two legs doing the 200m; the third the 400m; and the fourth leg the 800m.

Tomorrow’s Relay Fest, previously known as Relay Classic, returns after the 2024 edition was cancelled because of the unavailability of the Diamond venue. When the event was last held in 2023, High Performance champed the standings.
