Young Sailing duo gain podium finishes in Barbados event

The Vincentian duo of Kai Marks- Dasent and Scarlett Hadley, ensured that they ended on the podium despite of the challenges they faced in the Barbados Sailing Week’s Junior events.

Competing in the Junior Dinghy category, on Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Carlise Bay, Marks- Dasent docked second in the ILCA 4 category, while Hadley placed third in the ILCA 6 category.

The two Vincentians sailors were competing in the Barbados Sailing Week events for the first time, and gave a good account of themselves, as they pitted their skills against

others from Trinidad and Tobago and the host country.

However, unfavourable conditions curtailed the planned 10 races on the two days, to six on Saturday.

No races took place on Sunday, due to shifty winds.
