Big wins for top teams in TBPO softball cricket

Two matches only were played in the October 26 weekend round of matches in the 2024 National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition at the Dauphine Playing Field.

Saturday, October 26, saw the Bank of SVG All Stars and Country Meet Town Out Ah Trouble registering wins.

All Stars beat Hill Top by 88 runs in a match reduced to 15 overs.

All Stars posted 178 for 5 in their 15 overs. Godwin John 31, Nyron Dasouza 29, Glenroy Dasent 26, and Kody Horne 25, were the principal scorers.

Kavile Gibson took 2 for 39, bowling for Hill Top.

In their 15 overs, Hill Top could only reach 90 for 7, as Glenroy Dasent and Newborn Joseph, took 2 for 18 and 2 for 26, respectively. Raheem Jacobs with 18, was Hill Top’s best batter.

Bowling for All Stars, Glenroy Dasent picked up 2 for 18, and Newborn Joseph had 2 for 26.

In the other match, Out Ah Trouble pummelled Dauphine United by 170 runs. Out Ah Trouble, on the back of good scores from Saski Weekes, 61; Travis Cumberbatch, 57; Richie Richards, 35; and Davian Barnum, 25; posted 228 for 6 in 15 overs.

Bowling for Dauphine United, Nicholas Holder had 2 for 35.

Dauphine Unite made 58 all out in 12.1 overs. Baldwin Dabique scored 16. Kenron Williams scalped 2 wickets for 11.
