TBPO holds full weekend of action

The 2024 edition of the National Lotteries Authority TBPO 20/20 Softball Cricket Competition, saw a full weekend of action on Saturday September 28 and Sunday, 29, at the Dauphine Playing Field.

On Saturday, Young Stallions registered an eight wicket win over Vinlec Power Stars. Batting first, Vinlec Power Stars reached 90 for 8 from 18 overs; Rickel Stapleton scored 30.

Bowling for Young Stallions, Kentish Phillips had 4 for 11, and Reneke James 2 for 18. Young Stallions replied with 91 for 2 in 8.2 overs; Terance Patterson scored 30.

Then, Owia Strikers defeated Fairbaine United by 61 runs.

Owia Strikers posted 155 for 8 from 17 overs, with Kerwin Williams scoring 45.

Tevin Liverpool had 3 for 37 and Adalph Adams 2 for 10, bowling for Fairbaine United, who then was strangled, making 94 for 9 in 17 overs. Glendon James scored 18.

Kerwin Williams – 3 for 13; Dillon Douglas 2 for 13; and Nickron Williams 2 for 15, ensured Fairbaine United’s batters did not get away.

Matches on Sunday, resulted in wins for Dr Thomas Injectors, Bank of SVG All Stars and New Level.

Injectors defeated AIA Reload by six wickets. AIA Reload made 79 all out in 14.1 overs, with Marlon Williams, the lead batter scoring 33.

Bowling for Injectors, Kymo Browne scalped 3 for 14; Winston Holder 2 for 4; and Brinol Maloney 2 for 7.

Injectors replied with 82 for 4 from 11.1 overs. Amed Baptiste and Chester Keil each struck 22; and Jerando Jardin picked up 2 for 18, bowling for AIA Reload.

Bank of SVG All Stars defeated Kombat Warriors by 32 runs.

All Stars made 121 for 9 from their 20 overs. Nyron Da Souza scored 36, and Roderick John made 28.

For Kombat Warriors, Kerwin Browne scalped 3 for 18 and Kamal Jackson 2 for 11. Kombat Warriors’ response was 89 all out in 18.3 overs. Romano Pierre made 21. In reply Kombat warriors reached 89 all out in 18.3 overs. The trio of Othneil Lewis -3 for 17; Cody Horne 2 for 2; and Rasheed Fredrick 2 for 38, bowled All Stars to victory. And, New Level won by default from Rudy’s Electrical.
