National Table Tennis Championships serves off tomorrow

THE St Vincent and the Grenadines Table Tennis Association(SVGTTA), will hosts its 2024 National Championships from tomorrow, Saturday, July 27 to August 3, at the Auditorium of the West St George Secondary School.

Up for grabs are the Pre-Cadet and Cadet titles, Teams, Open Singles ( Male and Female), Mixed Doubles, Doubles, Junior Male, Junior Female and Masters categories.

Joseph Carrington is the Tournament Director. Matches will be played from 10 during the morning sessions and from 5.30 in the evening sessions.

When the 2023 edition took place at the same venue, JD’s Table Tennis Academy copped the team title, with Damion Dublin taking the Male Open, Leah Cumberbatch, the Female Open, while the combination of Damion Dublin and Unica Velox took the Mixed Doubles, and Terrance Marksman won the Men’s 50 and Over title.

Also decided last year were the Junior Girls which was won by Shanecia Delpesche, while Caleb Howard took the Junior Boys. The Male Doubles title was taken by Dublin and Howard.
