National netball concludes with knockout finals

Maca Crushers and X-Ceed emerged male and female knock out Division One champions respectively as the 2024 SVG Netball Association’s National Club Netball Championships, sponsored by the Bank of St Vincent concluded on Wednesday evening June 19, 2024.

Maca Crushers defeated X-Ceed Knights 52 – 43 in the deciding encounter, with quarter scores being 20-9; 29-19; 43-31; and 52-43, all in favour of Maca Crushers. It was their second title of the year, having earlier won the League title.

In the highly anticipated Female Division One final which followed, X-Ceed prevented Mitres from doing the double, Mitres having won the Female Division One title a few days earlier. X-Ceed dominated in all quarters 11-7; 28-13; 37-21; 47-30 to be crowned first division knockout queens.

Before Wednesday’s two finals, six netball divisional titles had been decided in the 2024 Championships.
