SVGTTA host another assessment tournament

THETRIO OF Damion Dublin, Zayden Cyrus, and Shanecia Delpesche, won the Seniors, Under-19 Male and Women’s titles respectively, as the SVG Table Tennis Association held another of its Assessments Tournament for 2024, last Saturday May 4, at the West St. George Secondary School’s Auditorium.

Dublin defeated Caleb Howard,3/2: 11/3, 11/3, 7/11, 5/11, 11/9, en route to his title.

Meanwhile, Cyrus beat Macahlie Hazelwood 11/9, 6/11 , 12/10 , 11/9, to win the game 3/1; and, Delpesche, making a comeback after being affected by injury for the early part of the year, registering a hard fought, 3:2 ( 5/11, 11/6, 11/8, 10/12, 11/8) win over Leah Cumberbatch.

The next Assessment Tournament will take place some time in June; the date to be decided by the executive of the SVGTTA.
