Track and Field returns to the Diamond Track

Following the high octane Inter- primary and Inter-secondary Schools Athletics Championships, as well as the St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College’s competition, athletes will for the next two weekends return to the Diamond Track Facility.

This, as Team Athletics SVG hosts two major events- the 2024 Wendell Hercules National Championships, and the 2024 Kids Athletics Festival.

Beginning this Saturday, April 27,2024, the preliminaries of the sprint events of the National Championships are slated to take place; the semi-finals and finals will be held on May 4-5.

However, on Saturday May 4, beginning at 10:00 a.m and going through to 2:00 p.m, the Kids Athletics Festival will take place.

The Festival is expected to bring together approximately 300 youngsters between ages 4 and 14, who will demonstrate their basic skills in running, jumping and throwing, as they lay the foundation in Track and Field.
