Netball and Futsal finals flow at Glenside this Sunday

This Sunday March 9, 2024, will see the finals of the Cane End Netball Association’s Tournament, along with the finals of the Futsal competition, at the Glenside Recreational Centre, Marriaqua.

Sunday’s action gets going with the Second Division Netball Final featuring JLC Warriors and Conquerors from 5:00 p.m.

Then, from 6.30 p.m, the First Division final between TCCU Star Girls and Vultures will blow off.

The Second Division finalists emerged from the semifinals played on February 24, when Conquerors defeated All Stars 23-15 and JLC Warriors overcame Glenside, 30-14.

Also on that day, Star Girls defeated Sion Hill Netters 53-40, and Vultures outdid Nature Care Avengers, 53-42.

All Stars went on to take the third place in the Second Division, while Sion Hill Netters took care of Avengers 45-29, to secure the third spot in the First Division.

Following the Netball finals on Sunday, the Futsal titles will be decided when Glenside plays Carriere in the Under-13 Division, and in the Senior Division, Downstreet faces Young Boyz. The Futsal finals are carded for 7.30 p.m and 8:00 p.m, respectively.

The presentation and closing ceremony will follow thereafter.
