Four selected for ECVA Beach Volleyball Tournament

St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), will be represented in the 2024 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association (ECVA) Senior Beach Volleyball Tournament by the pair of Saquanna Duncan and Shanadia Sylvester in the Female category, and Jamaar Cropper and Ronaldo Franklyn in the Male segment.

The four earned the right to be the country’s representatives at the February 23 to 25 event set for the Cul- de Sac Bay, Castries, St Lucia, following a competition staged last Saturday February, 10, 2024, at Private Mount Wynne.

Duncan and Sylvester, who whetted their feet last year at the ECVA tournament, took charge of Saturday’s competition as they got past their two other opponents in a round robin affair.

Cropper and Franklyn had a longer route as they were part of a seven- team set up that saw them first emerge from their group and winners.

The duo then maintained their hold on proceedings by coming out tops in the final.

Cropper and Franklyn thus replace Jad Martin and Asmond Franklyn, who were selected to compete in last year’s event.

Hosts, St Lucia will be defending the male and female titles.
