Thirty- three seek SVGFF’s positions

Thirty-three candidates have placed their names in the hat, for the positions on the next Executive of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF).

Among them are five who are vying for the top position of President.

Interestingly, two Vice-Presidents of the outgoing Executive, Wayne Grant (Second) and Otashie Spring(First), are challenging the sitting President, Carl Dickson.

Completing the list is former President Marvin Fraser, and Renson Haynes, who will be facing the football electorate for the first time.

For the position of First Vice- President, Dominique Stowe, Elroy Boucher, Leslie Millington and Rohan Thomas Jr. are the candidates. Stowe and Boucher had served on previous executives.

There are five listed for the position of Second Vice-President in the persons of Debson Cruickshank, Nadichia Browne, Roxell John, Trevor Huggins and Yosiah Dascent. Huggins was a previous executive member and General Secretary, while Dasent has served as a Committee Member of the outgoing executive.

Meanwhile, incumbent, Dwight Roberts, will be trying to hold on to his post of Third Vice-President, but will be challenged by newcomers Kal King and President of the SVG Referees Association Elron Lewis.

And, 16 names are on the list of prospective Committee Members. They include the four current members Dwight Baptiste, James Browne, Rosalo Mc Kie and Otnell Douglas.

The other 12 are Arrington Burgin, Deptor Culzac, Gregory Matthias, Germano Douglas, Iyakie Daniel, Keith Duncan, Koyana Horne, Tamara Barrow, Tameisha Johnson, Timora Peters, Warren Ollivierre and Yoland London.

Apart from the listed names, the President when elected has two selectees who will join the other five Committee Members.

The elections are set for Saturday, January 27, at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown, which forms part of the SVGFF’s Congress.
