Sailing Association completes National Championships

Despite the unpredictable weather conditions, the St Vincent and the Grenadines Sailing Association (SVGSA) was able to host its CG United Insurance-sponsored National Championships, which ended on December 17, 2023, at Calliaqua Bay.

Twenty-one sailors were part of the event that saw three classes being contested.

Winning the ILCA6 category was Oreakay Joseph, with Jamark Osborne second and Logan Banfield, third.

In the Optimist class, Joshua Weinhardt emerged winner ahead of Tegan Deane, who emerged first place for females. And, closing out the top three finishers was Kai Marks-Dasent.

And, in the Optimist Green Fleet, Madison Allock topped the category as she beat Rohana Warran and Ira Hadley, in that order.
