Central Strikers champ SVGCC T/10 Cricket

Central Strikers Youths dethroned the Division of Technical and Vocational Education, to claim the 2023 St Vincent and the Grenadines Community College Invitational T10 Cricket competition.

The title match played at the Stubbs Playing Field, December 14, saw the new champions posting 120 for 3 from their 10 overs, after being asked to bat.

Dave Duncan 34 not out and Newton Browne 26 were Central Strikers’ principal scorers.

DTVE at their turn at the crease, finished on 60 for 8 from their 10 overs.

Lexroy Collis picked up 3 for 9, including a hat trick, while Newton Browne took 2 for 2, as Central Strikers won 60 runs.

The Georgetown Secondary School (GSS) placed third ahead of Associates Combined by six wickets.

Scores: Associates Combined: 65 for 7, Georgetown Secondary School- 68 for 4.

Topping the awards was Dimitri Adams of the GSS, who was the MVP of the Competition. Adams scored the most runs – 100, and was the best all-rounder with three wickets to his credit.

Taking the most wickets was Kazado Henry of the GSS, who got seven scalps.

Meanwhile, Central Strikers’ Dave Duncan was the best wicket keeper and DTVE’s Ahmed Williams- the best fielder.

Six teams played in the competition.
