Officials get Meet Manager training

Team Athletics SVG continues to build capacity among its technical officials. Hence, the local custodians of Track and Field here in St Vincent and the Grenadines are engaging officials in executing the Hy Tek Meet Manager system.

As such, the first of two workshops was held last Saturday, November 25 at the IT Laboratory of the St Vincent Grammar School.

Saturday’s workshop, facilitated by Suzanna Leigertwood, entailed the processes involved in entering the athletes’ data through to the execution of the meet.

And, the participants will add to last Saturday’s experience, as at the next workshop, carded for this Saturday, December 2, they will receive training in the use of the Photo Finish.

This next training takes place at the Diamond Track Facility.

The need to have more persons trained in the use of the Hy Tek Meet Manager system and the Photo Finish, came about following a growing demand by schools to have their track and field championships efficiently run.

Keith Joseph, President of Team Athletics SVG noted that with more personnel equipped with the knowledge to operate the systems, multiple schools will have the luxury of having the championships administered, even though they are held on the same day.
