North Windward and Stubbs win in Masters Cricket

Veejays North Windward and Stanley Browne Stubbs, recorded wins last Sunday, October 22, as the 2023 SVG Masters T/20 Competition continued at the Park Hill Playing Field.

North Windward defeated Davis Construction Bequia by 16 runs.

Drumo Toney 42 and Roy Baptiste 35, were the principal scorers in North Windward’s 184/9 off 20 overs.

Bowling for Bequia, Ellis Lavia scalped 3/40, Nigel Lewis – 2/32 and Jefferson Richards – 2/41.

In response, Bequia was dismissed for 168 from 19.4 overs. Nigel Lewis and Jefferson Richardson both made 40 and St Clair Bascombe – 31.

For North Windward, Dan Williams had 3 / 42, Jaman Greene 2/ 12 and Hanif Ollivierre 2/24.

And, Stubbs overcame 007 Sports Bar P’tani by 22 runs.

Stubbs on the back of Kissinger Mc Lean and Newborne Joseph’s 54 and Uzzah Pope – 33, reached 188/6 off 18 overs.

Isaac Haywood was P’tani’s most successful bowler with 2/30.

P’tani – 116/8 from 18 overs. Norlan Williams- 73, Romel Currency and Zenus Samuel, 23 each.

Kenroy Martin raked in 3/16 and Ricky Thomas had 2 /23.
