Heat-Seekers take 3X3 basketball title

Heat-seekers defeated Team Fierce 20 – 15 to win the St Vincent and the Grenadines Basketball Federation 3X3 basketball tournament at the New Montrose basketball courts last Saturday night September 9, 2023.

Eight teams took part in the night’s activity namely Heat-Seekers, Team Fierce, Dyamonds, Mavrix 1, Marriaqua, Team Nigeria, Mavrix 2, and Layou Pulse.

It was the organization’s first competitive event for a few years, the last one being prior to the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

In semi-final 2, Heat-Seekers defeated Marriaqua 20 – 17, while Team Fierce got past Mavrix 2 20 – 11 in semi-final 1.

It was sweet revenge for Heat Seekers who had earlier lost by one point 12 – 13 to Team Fierce in the group stage.
