SVG’s team off to Junior Carifta Games in the Bahamas

Vincentian double medallist at last year’s CARIFTA Games held in Kingston, Jamaica, Keo Davis will lead the national representative team to the 50th anniversary edition of the Caribbean’s premier Track and Field event for youth and junior athletes, set to take place in Nassau, Bahamas, April 7 to 10. The home-based athletes left the state for the Games on Tuesday, April 4.

The overseas-based athletes will join their fellow athletes in the Bahamas.

Team leader Davis will contest the 100m/200m (Under-20), alongside Kyle Lawrence.

Uroy Ryan will participate in the long ump and triple jump (Under-20). Ryan was a silver medallist in the Long Jump in 2022.

Zichri Hepburn, the 5000m, Recordo Williams, the Octathlon, Samaaya Connell, the Heptathlon and Amal Glasgow, the 400m, all in the same age category.

Glasgow will be looking to improve on his bronze medal achieved at last year’s Games.

Competing in the Under-17 Division are J’aviar Cato in the High jump and Long Jump; Tedre O’Neil in the pole vault; Tyhra Charles in the 100m/200m and Henreek Francois in the 3000m.

Ryan and Glasgow are based in Jamaica, while Charles resides in St Kitts, and O’ Neil is based in St Lucia.

Rawlson Morgan is the team’s Head Coach, with Chantel Legair the Manager/ Chaperone.
