Georgetown Police Youth Club wins Netball title

The Georgetown Police Youth Club has claimed their second national title when the club added the Netball crown to the Football title won last year.

Facing Edge Media Centre Owia in the finals played at the Arnos Vale Netball Complex last Sunday, April 2, the Georgetown Club came up trumps winning the game 21-17.

Georgetown’s Samayaa Connell was adjudged the MVP of the finals and the best defensive player.

The Georgetown Police Youth Club’s Juneka Quow was adjudged the best mid court player, a police release states.

Meanwhile, Owia won the awards as best attacking team and best defensive team, and Giada Small with a total of 83 goals, won the award for most goals scored.

Twenty clubs contested the inaugural Police Youth Clubs Netball Tournament, which bounced off on March 12, at the Arnos Vale Netball Complex.
