Kingstown Preparatory Crowned 2023 Inter-Primary Schools Athletics Champs

The Kingstown Preparatory School on Wednesday, March 29, dethroned the Stephanie Browne Primary School to be crowned the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Inter-Primary Schools Athletics Champions at the Sir Vincent Beache Stadium.

The Kingstown Preparatory School amassed a total of 259 points to take the overall title, with the Stephanie Browne Primary School of Union Island, (the 2019 and 2022 champions) taking second spot with 204 points.

In third place was the Paget Farm Government School in Bequia with 175 points; fourth was the Questelles Government School with 174 points; and fifth Fitz Hughes Government School with 136 points.

Following the Inter-Primary Schools heats at the Sir Vincent Beache Stadium spread out over different days the Kingstown Preparatory School went into Wednesday’s finals leading in the female division with 21 points, followed by the Brighton Methodist on 14 points, and the Stephanie Browne Primary, the Questelles Government School, and the Paget Farm Government School all tied on 14 points.

The Paget Farm Government School topped the Male Division with 27 points, followed by the Buccament Bay Secondary School in second place on 21 points, and in third spot the Pamelus Burke Government School with 16 points. Kingstown Preparatory was fourth with 11 points, but the Stephanie Browne Primary School did not make the list in this division.

Katriel Bailey of the Kingstown Preparatory School, with a tally of 36 points was crowned the Victrix Ludorum, while Chrisroy Stowe of the Paget Farm Government School and Mark Dells of the Buccament Government School who each amassed 38 points, were crowned Victors Ludorum.
