Jacintha Ballantyne remains as Americas Netball treasurer

Vincentian, Jacintha Ballantyne was elected treasurer of Americas Netball at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting last Saturday, October 15, at the Liguanea Club in New Kingston, ahead of the World Cup Qualifying tournament.

Ballantyne thus remains in the post, so too is Second Vice -President, Javon Edwards of St Maarten.

However, a new president in Dr Bridget Adams of Trinidad and Tobago was elected unopposed, replacing Jamaican, Marva Bernard who did not seek re-election.

Bernard though will sit on the executive until the Netball World Cup in South Africa in 2023 as regional director.

The new First Vice President is Simone Forbes. The other member of the new executive is Shirley Benjamin of Antigua and Barbuda, who is the secretary.

Apart from her position on the Americas region Netball body, Ballantyne is the treasurer of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Olympic Committee; the St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball
Association; as well as Team Athletics SVG.
