Mustique Company revelling in Masters Cricket competition

Mustique Company defeated Sion Hill  by 51 runs on Sunday at the Arnos Vale Two Playing Field to add another win to their 2022 campaign in the SVG Masters 20/20 cricket competition.

In a match which started late Mustique Company posted 166 for 9 off 18 overs. Oneil Thomas led with 48 and Nicholas Baptiste 47.

Ancell Hooper took 3 for 41 and Gary Rodriguez picked up 2 for 29 bowling for Sion Hill whose reply halted at 115 all out from 17.2 overs. Ashley Cordice top scored with 21.

For Mustique Company, Joseph Medford picked up  4 for 15,Cedric Cupid 3 for 22 and Ian Allen had 3 for 29.

Also, on Sunday, but at the Sion Hill Playing Field, General Hardware Pastures won from Computec Belfongo by 55 runs.

Pastures made 119 for 9 off 18 overs, in another match reduced because of a late start. Deptor Culzac hit 64.

Belfongo made 67 all out in 15.3 overs. Marvin Harry picked up 4 for 10.

Meanwhile, at the Park Hill Playing Field, Park Hill defeated Davis Construction Bequia by 33 runs.

Park Hill scored 154 all out off 19.3 overs. Christian Adams scored 31 and Joseph Yammie, 24.

Orlando Lavia, 2 for 28; Victor Williams, 2 for 25;  and Ellis Lavia 2 for 26 were the main wicket takers for Bequia who reached 131 for 6 from their 20 overs. Orlando Lavia led with 48.

Bowling for Park Hill, Oscar Ryan took 2 for 15 and Denzil Frank had 2 for 19.

At Stubbs, Digicel Cato Heavy Equipment Glamorgan got the better of P’tani by five wickets.

Batting first, P’tani made 109 for 7 off 20 overs. Winston Horne, 33 and Jerome Samuel, 22. McNeil Morgan grabbed 4 for 15, bowling for Glamorgan.

Responding, Glamorgan made 110 all out from 19.1 overs.

And, one match was played on Saturday at the Stubbs Playing Field, in which RSVG Police defeated Strokes by eight wickets.

Strokes made 97 for 5 off 14 overs, with Elmore Alexander taking 3 for 13.

RSVG Police replied with 98 for 2 off 12.3 overs. Neil Baptiste, 41 not out and Trevor Bailey 34.
