Another assignment beckons national footballers

St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) has been drawn in Group C of the 2022 Concacaf Men’s Under-17 Championship qualifiers.

This was revealed when the draw was made on Thursday, June 23. Thus the group  showed that St Vincent and the Grenadines is set to play alongside the Dominican Republic, St Kitts and Nevis, Cayman Islands, and Dominica for honours.

The Vincentians are among 20 countries which will seek to advance from the qualifying rounds.

As such there are three other groups. In Group A are  Bermuda, Guyana, Bahamas, Bonaire, St Martin, and British Virgin Islands; while Group B comprises St Lucia, Puerto Rico,Aruba, Martinique, Anguilla,  and the US Virgin Islands.

And in Group D are Nicaragua, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada, Belize, and the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The qualifying phase is set for August 8-September 30 and will be played in the round robin format.

The winners of the four groups will go forth to meet the 16 ranked teams in the 2023 Concacaf Men’s Under-17 Championships.
